Setup script shows less memory than I think I have

The setup.sh script looks on your system to see how much physical memory is available and is available for the simulator to use. If you have a lot of programs running then it may decide that there isn't enough memory to run a simulator.

If you believe that the results you are being given are lower or wrong then please contact the author with details about your physical system, Linux version and a copy of the /proc/meminfo file from Linux.

Additionally for advanced users, to have the script ignore the amount of memory in the system start another terminal (or xterm?) session and simply start vi as follows: vi maytag
Immediately re-start the setup.sh script and it should tell you that a simulator is running so it cannot tell how much memory is free and allow you to select any amount of memory. Then when you have finished just exit vi without saving or creating the file. Any other editor or tool that puts the word maytag into the ps listing will also enable this behaviour.
