You’ll need at least 400MB of disk for the default disk installation.
You wil also need at least 512MB of spare RAM in your system for each running simulator if you choose the default memory size. This memory is over and above the memory requirements of Linux, X-Windows and other non-simulator applications.
Each simulator will need enough memory to be able to take over all services that the other node is running. For safety it is best to assume that you need 2x the memory requirement that you give to each simulator node.
For example if you plan on each node having 128MB then you should re-configure the nodes to really have 256MB so that they have enough for themselves (128MB) and for the other node in take-over mode (128MB). As you will be running both nodes at the same time (i.e. when not in failover mode) you'll need to have at least 512MB of free memory (256MB/node/2x nodes running). Linux generally recommends about 128MB of memory for it's use so for a cluster your "minimum" requirement is 768MB of system memory.
If you are using VMware to host your Linux session then don't forget that the host operating system also needs memory.
You need to be logged on as root for a successful installation. All simulators should only be run by root.
Choose a Linux that has been tested from this list.
The simulator requires at least 128MB of temporary disk space per running simulator. For example if you are running a cluster with both nodes active then you need at least 256MB of free disk space.
