This tab shows all suffixes on all hosts managed by DSCC. Usually these suffixes are replicated suffixes.
To view this tab, click Directory Servers tab then Suffixes tab.
For a description of items that appear in the suffixes table, see Suffix Table.
You can use this tab to do the following:
Check the status of the suffixes on each machine
Perform replication tasks, and import and export LDIF
For a full list of operations that you can perform, see Suffix Actions.
To manage the suffix configuration settings, including replication settings, indexes and attribute encryption, click the suffix name.
To set a visual alert threshold for the Age of Oldest Missing Change, click the Table Preferences icon on the top right part of the suffixes table.

The following are descriptions of the columns in the suffixes table.
The suffix name is shown in LDAP format, for example, dc=example,dc=com.
This shows the machine name and LDAP port number for the server the suffix is on.
This shows the number of entries on the suffix.
The replication role can be: Master, Hub, Consumer, Not Replicated. If you want to change the replication role of the suffix, choose Promote/Demote Suffix from the drop-down menu.
The suffix status depends on the status of both the server and the suffix. A suffix can have the following status:
The server is running, and waiting for replication updates from other servers. If it is a master or hub server, it is also waiting for changes to replicate to other servers.
The server is currently sending replication updates to other servers, receiving replication updates from other servers, or both.
The suffix has not been initialized through an LDIF file or through replication. Replication is not occurring because the replication process requires initialization before starting. If you want the suffix to be initialized from another server, choose Initialize From Data from the drop-down menu.
A suffix exists, but it has not been initialized or added to a replication topology.
The suffix has been disabled. You can enable or disable a suffix by using the drop-down menu.
A user has put the server in frozen mode, most probably in preparation for a backup operation. You can change the server back to Read-Write Mode at any time. See To Perform Server Tasks.
The server is in read-only mode. You can change the mode at any time. See To Perform Server Tasks.
DSCC does not have permission to manage the server. To allow DSCC to manage the server, click Directory Servers, a server name, and Enable Access.
A user has disabled suffix access. To re-enable suffix access, click Directory Servers tab then Suffixes tab. Click a suffix name and choose Enable Suffix Access from the drop-down menu.
Replication is not occurring correctly. Use the error code provided in the status for troubleshooting.
There is an inconsistency in the fractional replication settings. To modify fractional replication settings, see To Manage Replication Agreements.
This column shows the number of replication updates that a suffix has not yet received from source servers, as defined by incoming replication agreements. If the number of missing changes has increased or decreased in the last few seconds, an arrow is displayed.
This column shows the time delay of the oldest missing change. If the age of the oldest missing change has increased or decreased in the last few seconds, an arrow is displayed.
This column shows how many replication conflicts (if any) exist on this suffix. If replication conflicts exist, click the link to view the conflicts and resolve them. For detailed information about solving replication conflicts, see the Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator’s Guide for Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition.
This column shows how many incoming and outgoing replication agreements are associated with a suffix.
You can access all the actions listed below by clicking an action name, or using the More Suffix Actions drop-down list to select an action. In addition to these suffix actions, you can click on the suffix name to modify the configuration for replication, indexing, and attribute encryption.
Creates a new suffix. This action can create a number of replicated suffixes in a new replication topology, or it can create a new suffix to be added to the existing replication topology. You can choose whether to initialize the new suffix with sample data, data from an LDIF file, or data from an existing suffix.
See a graphical representation of the replication topology. Replication relationships between servers are shown by arrows.
Copies the configuration of a suffix to one or more other suffixes. You can copy various index, replication, encrypted attributes and database cache settings.
Regenerates the index files. Perform this action after you have made changes to index settings.
Initializes a suffix with data either from an LDIF file, or data from another suffix through an existing replication agreement. Initializing a suffix overwrites any suffix data already on the suffix.
Exports data from a suffix into an LDIF file.
Displays the replication agreements managed by DSCC. You can also display replication agreements by choosing the Directory Servers tab then Replication Agreements tab.
Enables replication on a suffix which has replication disabled.
Disables replication on a suffix. When a suffix is disabled, no replication updates are made to or from the suffix.
Use this action when you want to change the replication role. The replication roles are master, hub and consumer. A master server is read/write, and hubs and consumers are read-only. For more information about designing a replication topology, see the Oracle Fusion Middleware Deployment Planning Guide for Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition 11g Release 1 (11.1.1).
Creates a replication agreement between two suffixes.
Deletes a suffix.
Browse data (entries) contained in the suffix. To browse data, click the suffix name, then choose Browse Data from the drop-down menu.
Enables access to a suffix where the suffix has been disabled. To enable suffix access, click the suffix name, then choose Enable Suffix Access from the drop-down menu.
The suffix data is not available for read or write access. However, the server is still able to be configured. To disable suffix access, click the suffix name, then choose Disable Suffix Access from the drop-down menu.
