Managing Servers

A server is defined as a machine that has one or more of the Zimbra service packages installed. During the installation, the Zimbra server is automatically registered on the LDAP server. When you select servers from the navigation pane, a list of servers displays. When you select Edit for a server, the content pane displays a set of tabs that show the configuration for the server.

Servers are registered during the installation process. You can edit a server's records but you cannot add or delete servers.

The Server tabs display the following information

Services tab

The Services tab shows the Zimbra services. A checkmark identifies the services that are enabled for the selected server. Possible services include LDAP, Mailbox, Imap and Pop proxy, MTA, SNMP, Logger, Spell Checker, Anti-Virus, and Anti-Spam.

IMAP tab

The IMAP tab shows if the following are enabled. If the setting is different from the global setting, the field is highlighted with a Reset to Global link.

Multiple volumes for message store and index store can be defined for the Zimbra mailbox server
