You are here: PS Series Group Administration > Basic Replication > Deleting Replicas and Replica Sets > Deleting Inbound Replicas
You can delete partner replicas and replica sets that are stored locally in the group (inbound replicas). However, be sure that you have permission from the administrator of the group where the original volume resides before deleting inbound replicas.
Caution: Be careful when deleting an inbound replica or replica set, because this will stop the volume replication, delete the partner’s replicas, and may impair the partner’s ability to recover data.
Before deleting an inbound replica or replica set, you must pause any replication that is inbound from the partner, as described in Pausing and Resuming Replication.
Note: You cannot delete the most recent replica.
To delete an inbound replica set or replica, click:
Replication partners > partner_name > Inbound tab
In the Local Replicas panel, click Volume replicas. The Inbound Replication - Volume Replicas window appears (Figure 26: Inbound Replication – Volume Replicas ). In the Local Replicas panel, select the volume. In the Activities panel, click Delete replica set or Delete replica. If you are deleting a replica, the Delete Replicas dialog box appears (Figure 32: Delete Replicas ). Select one or more replicas to delete.
To delete an inbound replica that is part of a replica collection, click:
Replication partners > partner_name > Inbound tab
In the Local Replicas panel, click Collection replicas. The Inbound Replication - Collection Replicas window appears (Figure 27: Inbound Replication – Collection Replicas ). Expand the volume collection and then expand the replica collection. Select a replica and, in the Activities panel, click Delete replica.
