Deleting Outbound Replicas

You can delete replicas or replica sets stored on a partner (outbound replicas).

Notes: Deleting a replica set will stop the volume replication. You will have to re-enable replication to create replicas.

You cannot delete the most recent replica.

To delete an outbound replica or replica set, click:

Volumes > volume_name > Replication tab

The Volume Replication window appears (Figure 19: Volume Replication – Volume Replicas ). In the Remote Replicas panel, select the replica set and click Delete replica set or Delete replicas, as desired. If you are deleting a replica, the Delete Replicas dialog box appears (Figure 32: Delete Replicas ). Select one or more replicas to delete.

Alternately, to delete an outbound replica set or replica, click:

Replication partners > partner_name > Outbound tab

Click Volume replicas to display the Outbound Replication - Volume Replicas window (Figure 23: Outbound Replication – Volume Replicas ). In the Remote Replicas panel, select the volume. Then, click Delete replica set or click Delete replicas in the Activities panel. If you are deleting a replica, the Delete Replicas dialog box appears (Figure 32: Delete Replicas ). Select one or more replicas to delete.

To delete an outbound replica that is part of a replica collection, click:

Volume Collections > collection_name > Replicas tab

The Volume Collection Replicas window appears (Figure 20: Volume Collection Replicas ). In the Remote Replicas panel, expand the replica collection and select the replica. In the Activities panel, click Delete replica.

Alternately, to delete an outbound replica that is part of a replica collection, click:

Replication partners > partner_name > Outbound tab

Click Collection replicas to display the Outbound Replication - Collection Replicas window (Figure 24: Outbound Replication – Collection Replicas ). In the Remote Replicas panel, expand the volume collection and then expand the replica collection. Select a replica and, in the Activities panel, click Delete replica.
